I am an archivist at the Baltimore City Archives/Maryland State Archives and love to learn about other aspects of public history, hear recent developments in historical/cultural research and gain new perspectives on Baltimore's history and how it continues to affect us today. My interests include local history, urban preservation and renewal, the civil rights movement, and walking around the city to find new (and old) interesting things. My favorite museum has always been the Walters, but I've found that the city itself offers a wealth of knowledge that can't be found inside a library, gallery or museum.
