Nathan Dennies began volunteering with Baltimore Heritage in early 2012 writing Explore Baltimore Heritage articles while studying English Literature at the University of Baltimore.

After graduation, he continued to volunteer with Baltimore Heritage and worked to expand the site's editorial guidelines. In late 2013, he started a local history initiative in Hampden, where he lives. By 2014, the Greater Hampden Heritage Alliance was created, a volunteer group dedicated to preserving the stories and places of Hampden through community engagement.

Since then, the group has created a self-guided walking tour brochure of the Hampden-Woodberry area released for free to the public.

Nathan's full-time job is at AIABaltimore where he handles operations and communications.
