In 1998 I founded the Silver Spring Historical Society whose mission is to create and promote awareness and appreciation of Silver Spring's heritage through sponsorship of educational activities and the preservation and protection of historical sites, structures, artifacts and archives. While I work tirelessly to preserve downtown Silver Spring's heritage, I am as equally vested to preserving the history and culture of the District of Columbia and particularly its Georgetown neighborhood as a special collections librarian and archivist for the DC Public Library's Washingtoniana Division and Peabody Room.
